JEE or Join Entrance Examination is an entry level examination in India for batchelor degree in engineering and architecture. The exam is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Institutes like IIT (Indian Institute os Technology), NIT (National Institute of Technology) and other leading government & private engineering colleges use JEE ranking for admission. From 2013, AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) has also been merged with JEE.
JEE has two parts - JEE Main & JEE Advanced. JEE Main is objective in nature, i.e. based on MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions), while JEE Advanced is subjective. JEE Main is sub-devided into two categories - JEE Main for Engineering and JEE Main for Architecture.
JEE Main for Engineering is segmented into three categories -
Four marks are alloted for each correct response. One mark is deducted for each incorrect response. No deduction is made for not providing a response.
